This position is located in the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization and may be assigned to a geographical location under the purview of the Office of Personnel Security. The mission of ASH is to ensure aviation safety, support national security, and promote an efficient airspace system through the development and administration of policies and programs.
Duties
This position supports ASH in accomplishing mission critical responsibilities and key agent goals and objectives by implementing the requirements of the Personnel Security Program.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Some, All or None of the applicants may be interviewed.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position at the FV-F level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E (FG/GS-7-8). Specialized experience is that which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes: Performing security briefings and debriefings; working with employees to complete classified information non-disclosure agreements; entering security clearance information into agency and government-wide databases; identifying discrepancies in security clearance levels based on position designation;, processing Visit Access Authorization requests via DISS; reviewing documents and forms for completeness and accuracy and entering, retrieving, and maintaining information in an automated database.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Special Note Concerning Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): As a part of the Federal-Wide Hiring Reform Initiative (streamlining the hiring process), the FAA is committed to eliminating the use of the Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA) narratives from the initial application in the hiring process for all announcements.
