This ELECTRONICS MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics Directorate (G-4), Surface Maintenance Facility and is part of the CA CSMS Long Beach.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED ONE YEAR Selectee may be non-competitively promoted permanently if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. Selectee may be non-competitively extended up to 5 years if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the ELECTRONICS MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2602-11, is to serve as a working leader of three or more Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanics, WG-2602-11. Performs duties such as performing calibration, diagnostics repair, and certification of electronic, mechanical, and radiation Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower-grade employees.

General Experience: Possess experience or training that has provided the candidate with sufficient knowledge to complete the work of this occupational series; Experience or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to lead other National Guard employees engaged in the duties performed by this occupational series. ELECTRONICS MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2602-11: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have at least 24 months of experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series; Ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment; Ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series.
