About the Position: HQDA OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF G4 G4-3/5/7 OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE G47 FUPLANS, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Develop and coordinate logistics support plans for sustainment of US forces within a coalition force engaged in competition, conflict or crisis operations in order to meet requirements for logistical support. Develop Interoperability plans that promote sustainable development of partner nation capabilities that contribute to US Army readiness. Serve as Program Manager for the Army Acquisition Cross-Servicing Agreements (ACSA). Lead the US Army Sustainment Priority Focus Area for the Army Interoperability Campaign Plan on the Allies and Partners Line of Effort of the Army Campaign Plan. Oversee and help shape the work on multinational Directives, Allied Publications and Army regulations, and Hand Books that supports bi-lateral agreements. Establish and execute Agreed to Actions with partners and assess and recommend initiatives that strengthen and build Allies and Partners relationships.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires up to 30% travel for business purposes.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 3YRS. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. This position is obligated. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights based on active military service, compensable injury or disability when fully recovered, return rights based on having served an overseas tour(s), and may also cover employees who have been on extended leave without pay under certain circumstances. During the obligation period, the position may be filled on a temporary or permanent basis. The selected employee is required to sign an agreement acknowledging that (s)he is aware of the obligation and accepts the fact that (s)he may be displaced under reduction in force procedures at a later time. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating multinational logistics activities related to coalition operations; developing plans to support ongoing exercises with international organizations; serving as Program Manager for acquisition purposes; and ensuring sustainment/logistics interoperability policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
