This FLIGHT SERVICES MANAGER position is located in the Flight Services Section, Airfield Management/Base Operations Function of the Operations Directorate in an Air National Guard flying unit and is part of the CA 129 RQW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the FLIGHT SERVICES MANAGER, GS-2150-11, is to manage, direct and oversee the operation of all airfield activities and facilities under jurisdiction of the air base, and to coordinate as necessary with all applicable agencies, base flying activities and transient military aircrews and aircraft as well as civilian aircraft utilizing ANG facilities.

General Experience: Possess experience, education, and/or training providing a good understanding of administrative methods for accomplishing the work of an organization; Experience working with Federal, State and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; Experience in maintenance of inventories and cost computations. FLIGHT SERVICES MANAGER, GS-2150-11: Must have at least 36 months experience performing, administering or supervising technical and analytical work concerned with planning, development and execution of traffic policies and programs; Experience interpreting applicable Federal, State and local laws, and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures; Knowledge of transportation requirements and systems for specific geographic areas (International and Continental United States); Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel, Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Ability to lead or superviseDecision MakingOral CommunicationTechnical Competence
