The Industrial Equipment Mechanic performs a wide variety of tasks involving specific and general installation, equipment repairs, assembly/disassembly, minor improvement, and maintenance support, as part of the Facilities Management Service at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City MO.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/09/2024. EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: May be required to make repairs and installations from ladders, scaffold, platforms, and man lifts for hard-to reach places. May be required to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, climb, walk, lay, reach, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Handles and occasionally carries objects weighing up to 45 pounds. Required to push, pull, reach, walk, stand, crawl, kneel, bend, and work in cramped positions over and under machinery of all types for sustained period of time. Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
