You will serve as a PRECISION MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT CALIBRATOR in the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

You will align, troubleshoot, test, inspect, repair, modify, calibrate, and certify precision measurement equipment. You will analyze circuits and prepare or interpret detailed diagrams and schematics to effectively calibrate and certify a variety of complex electronic precision measurement equipment, instruments, and standards. You will set up system test sets and various types of test equipment. You will use various precision measurement instruments and standards. You will reduce complex, interrelated, or incomplete technical engineering data to assemble form, conduct analysis and assessment, draw conclusions and make recommendations in understandable form. You will coordinate with technical and professional personnel on matters affecting operating specifications and changes in procedures.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current calibration certification.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • You must possess manual dexterity and visual acuity.
