About the Position: Position is located at US Army Cadet Command, 2nd Brigade Headquarters S4, Fort Dix, NJ.
Duties
Serves as a Resource Management Specialist at the brigade (BDE) level located in the United States Army Cadet Command (USACC).
Serves as the BDE point of contact for problems and questions on topics ranging from software usage, entitlements, travel policy issues, transaction, and payment problems.
Manages financial programs for the BDE by serving as the BDE HQs primary administrator for unique programs, which may include, but are not limited to, the Defense Travel System (DTS) and the Government Travel Card Program (GTC).
Acts as the technical expert for the BDE in applying regulations, policies, and directives associated with the GTC.
Oversees and supports BDE HQs' resource management, drafts communications, interprets regulations, and conducts manpower analyses for budgeting.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Must be able to obtain Financial Management Certification Level 2.
- 1 Year probationary period may be required.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience reviewing financial policies to provide guidance to organization; assisting with analyzing data from automated systems such as Defense Travel System; AND utilizing accounting information provided by others to assess resource management programs to make recommendations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
