Duties
This position will allow you to provide advice and analysis to management on a range of administrative programs having department wide impact. This position starts at a salary of $99,200.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $128,956.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $128,956 (GS-12 Step 10).

In this Management and Program Analyst position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals. Typical work assignments include:
Reviewing audit documentation and providing input and recommendations to Leads and management on cross-cutting programmatic and operational issues
Providing analysis on program issues
Compiling information for Supervisor and Leads
Maintaining the CBP and OIT audit data tracking systems
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Providing support with analysis of program issues
Reviewing documentation for audit requests, using audit data tracking systems
Locating directives, policies, guidelines and training materials
Assisting with internal and external audit processes
Assisting with timely responses to audit requests and recommendations

Residency: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment.
