About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Sustainment Training Center, Johnston, IA.

Duties

Serve as an Adult Training Instructor for training in logistics with an emphasis on communications and electronics, responsible for developing, evaluating, and revising courses. Administering the principles and techniques of education and training with a high knowledge of military logistics in communications and electronics. Plan, design, and develop new programs of instruction (POI) and reviews, analyzes, and revises existing POIs in accordance with education and training requirements. Establish and maintain professional contacts with leading authorities in the logistics and education communities within and outside the government.

Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes helping with the development of course materials within the logistics arena in such areas as communication and electronics equipment; adapting instruction techniques to meet adult education classroom needs; facilitating in an adult group setting on a regular basis; assisting in yearly budget operation for electronics and communication training; assisting the support operations section to analyze equipment maintenance work requirements and logistics resources need to accomplish the mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-09 or equivalent). OR Education: Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, adult education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
