The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the principal office administrative support position in the assigned organizational unit, assisting the Supervisor by carrying out and coordinating all day-to-day administrative support activities which are required to accomplish the work of the organizational unit.
Duties
Reviews personal property documents involving acquisitions, transfer or disposal of items that are required to be of record.
Serves as primary point of contact for fleet management.
Prepared procurement requests for the purchase of supplies, equipment and services using mandatory or open market sources, timely and with proper documentation.
Determines supply needs for the office staff.
Serves as a purchase card holder, responsible for ordering supplies and services within established limits.
Serve as a timekeeper.
Establishes, organizes, and maintains a filing system of official material and records.
Reads and keeps apprised of organizational and Agency-wide directives and procedures in order to be aware of changes and new requirements affecting the work of the organization.
Performs a full range of standard and non-standard assignments, resolving non-recurring problems.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade:
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Specialized Experience for GS-07:To qualify for the GS-07 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Examples of specialized experience are defined as: Performing a variety of administrative support services in support of a business or program office; Assisting in preparing operating budgets; Making purchases of office supplies and equipment; Tracking expenditures; Maintaining property control records, Processing program payments.
Specialized Experience for GS-08:To qualify for the GS-08 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Examples of specialized experience are defined as: Managing and performing a variety of administrative support services in support of a business or program office; Preparing operating budgets; Making purchases of office supplies and equipment; Tracking expenditures; Providing timekeeping services; Making travel arrangements and reviewing travel reimbursement claims; Reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence / documents.
