Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson Space Force Base is searching for a Cybersecurity Analyst for GPS (NH-2210-03, GS 12-13 equivalent).
Description:
GPS Sustainment Cyber Branch is responsible for reviewing proposed modifications to GPS to ensure that the hardware/software solution is sound from a cybersecurity perspective. The branch manages the authorization package for GPS systems including artifact verification, eMASS entry, etc. This includes coordinating Security Control Assessments and meeting Risk Management Framework requirements. Additionally, the Section also performs cyber vulnerability assessment analysis and proposes modifications to the system to mitigate vulnerabilities.
The branch also coordinates all penetration test activities and leads defensive cyber operations activities.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- PCS/Relocation funding is available.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- This position is eligible for telework 2-4 days a pay period.
- Position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate:
Mission system sustainment (cyber analysis of system modifications, contract verbiage). Mission system authorizations (Risk Management Framework, Security Control Assessments, ISSM/ISSO). Defensive Cyber operations (cyber tools, cyber incident response, exercise planning). Vulnerability management (patch, scan, STIG, cyber orders processing). Penetration Testing (analysis of vulnerabilities, red/blue team activities, scenario planning). Undergraduate or Graduate Education Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
