This position is based in Oakland, CA in Region Nine's Response Division in the Logistics Branch. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to lead, communicate, manage and build partnerships within FEMA and across multiple federal, state, territorial, tribal, and non-governmental agencies while operating in a high-stress environment and austere conditions.

To qualify for this Logistics Management Specialist position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Coordinating logistical management support functions, such as supplies maintenance, transportation, warehouse/storage, property accountability, temporary housing staging or fleet management; Monitoring, tracking or assessing commodities for accuracy and organization need; and, Developing reports utilizing inventory management and/or financial systems, such as Sunflower Asset Management System (SASMS), or Enterprise Coordination and Approval Processing System (eCAPS). OR Education Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. OR Combination of education and experience.
