This position is located in the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Budget Execution Division. This position supports budget analysis and administration by reporting, processing and tracking budgetary transactions.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSGrade 5:Qualifying experience for the GS-5 level includes one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level or four years of education above the high school level. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience include: performing duties in support of finance or accounting operations; updated budget account record to reflect changes in funds; knowledge of budgets and purchasing requests; entering accounting transactions into automated financial systems; preparing and organizing budget data according to appropriation, account, object class and line-item codes. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: The experience requirements for the GS-5 level may be met by completion of a bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school.
