About the Position: You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Electrical) with the responsibility to assist the Design Branch, Electrical Design Section engineering staff of the Nashville Engineering & Construction Division. This position is located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Duties

Independently review Contract Technical Submittals for accuracy and conformance with contract requirements. Assemble individual sketches, material schedules, and design data from a variety of sources to produce final drawings, reports, and schedules. Operate the District's Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) equipment, from information in the form of engineering notes, sketches, computations and reference materials. Perform engineering computations and compiles results for engineers and designers. Apply 3-D modeling software to create models.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be selected at any grade level with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade. Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
