About the Position: Serve as the central point of contact in the Branch and is responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordinating of administrative actions between the Branch and the Staff Office, as well as other offices, Branches, and Divisions within SPL. Coordinates with subordinate sections on activities relative to the Branch mission. Note: Relocation/Recruitment incentive may be authorized if found advantageous to the government.

Duties

Serve as the authority and immediate point of contact to assist organizational personnel in matters of fiscal administration, office administration, personnel administration, and property management. Serve as a liaison between the Branch and the Project Managers/Project Analyst in assuring that all CEFMS data is processed correctly and in a timely manner. Serves as the clerical and administrative focal point for the Branch and subordinate section/units. Serve as alternate for the immediate source of information for the Branch concerning personnel issues including initiating personnel actions, incentive awards, training, providing advisory service for benefits, pay issues, leave, etc. Assure control of an inventory of expendable and non-expendable property, such as office equipment, furniture, and automatic data processing (ADP) equipment.

OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5).
