As a Project Manager, you will oversee the management of multiple projects which comprise complex initiatives.Location of position: Public Buildings Service, National Capital Region, Heating Operation & Transmission Division, Washington, DCWe are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Advise program officials of the procurement objectives used and prepare, lead the preparation of, or assist the Contracting Officer in the preparation of statements of work, determinations and findings and solicitation documents. In conjunction with the Contracting Officer, direct the preparation and issuance of modifications to clarify questions and /concerns on specification changes, language ambiguities or clarification of contract clauses.
Develop government requirements, define measurable performance standards, and manage life-cycle activities to ensure that intended outcomes are achieved. Exercise full responsibility for the administration and management of the entire project including the direction and control of project planning, programming, budgeting, contract evaluation, technical contract administration, etc.
Oversee project reviews: readjustments in funding and timelines. Resolve problems or conflicts impeding progress, assuring that contractor and agency staffs work as a team to complete the project in accordance with the timeline.
Provide debriefs, knowledge sharing sessions, or other lessons learned to internal and external entities. Ensure the completion of project documents and are uploaded into the systems in order to track performance metrics and historical trends.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $99,200 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Specialized experience is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing projects with complex initiatives, and overseeing the management of multiple complex projects from project identification, through initiation, planning, execution, and closeout stages. Experience must include: broad managerial responsibilities, such as cost management, planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating, reviewing, and working with project stakeholders including but not limited to customer agencies or organizations.
