About the Position: Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) mission statement: To receive, store, ship, produce, renovate and demilitarize conventional ammunition, missiles and related components to meet contingency requirements in support of the warfighter.

Duties

Complete in-house design work for small infrastructure projects to be accomplished by construction contractors. Assign projects, monitors progress, tracks costs, and performs on-site inspections. Apply practical knowledge of engineering principles in assessing specific requirements. Prepare technical reports that document and explain sometimes complex, technical issues.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required less than 25% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be qualified to drive a government vehicle in accordance with CAAA standards.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NJ-03 broadband incorporates former (GS equivalents) GS-09 step 1 through GS-11 step 10 grade levels and salary levels. Pay increase within the band will be accomplished through the Contribution-based Compensation and Appraisal System (CCAS).
