You will serve as a Production Controller in the Production Division, Transportation Branch (PRX33) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will monitor production work in progress to ensure timelines are met. You will prepare progress reports to determine and expedite production schedules. You will Use Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Visio) to develop reports and present to management. You will provide assessments of the production control system to develop improved methods of data collection, compilation and presentation to provide more accurate and complete information.

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Utilizing business applications used in production control such as Maximo, Microsoft Office, MS Project, database applications and other data base systems for data entry and queries; 2) Conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; 3) Scheduling production work based on production line or shop capacity, priority, and due date; 4) Planning, scheduling, and coordinating manpower and materials to the appropriate client and assuring completion within required specifications; and 5) Preparing and reviewing reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts for the use of production planning and control. GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Inputting work requests, reports for status, metrics and tracking accuracy in Maximo; 2) Researching and explaining status on work tickets and responding to formal and informal management inquiries; 3) Assisting in the planning and coordination of manpower and materials 4) Tracking and monitoring status of work completion; AND 5) Monitoring job order and purchase requests.
