You will serve as a ADMININSTRATIVE OFFICER within NAVAL JUSTICE SCHOOL.

Duties

You will provide answers to complex questions and resolve a spectrum of issues from minor to complicated. You will be responsible for facilitating the consumable supply inventory and supply procurement for the Administrative Officer and staff and a centralized processing point for supply requests, including detachments. You will work closely with the AO in the execution and management of command administrative programs and serves as the alternate coordinator/manager during the absence of the AO. You will serve as a primary source of information for all students at NJS, the NJS Administrative Officer, Registrar, and Career Counselor, as well as other personnel concerning Military Personnel and Pay policies, procedures and requirements. You will assist with the proper administration command records to include procedures for the creation, maintenance, use, and disposition of official records per established command policies and the DoN Records Management Program, SECNAV M-5210.1.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Identifying and analyzing problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. 2. Evaluating the causes of problems and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. 3. Managing incoming and outgoing routine and military justice-related correspondence. 4. Managing, overseeing and executing various administrative programs in order to assure the effective and efficient accomplishment of the organizations mission. 5. Formulating and recommending administrative policies, procedures and regulations to determine and evaluate needs, and anticipates results of implementation. For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Identifying and analyzing problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. 2. Managing incoming and outgoing routine and military justice-related correspondence. 3. Formulating and recommending administrative policies, procedures and regulations to determine and evaluate needs, and anticipates results of implementation. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For GS-09

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

For GS-07

1 year of full graduate-level education

or

Superior academic achievement
