About the Position: Serve as a Human Resources Assistant providing administrative and technical support in civilian awards, routine personnel actions, and in and out processing. Responsible for providing support to the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) to execute core mission to optimize resources and civilian human capital while improving the recruitment and retention of civilian personnel within the MTF.

Duties

Serve as a point of contact (POC) for routine personnel actions. Serve as a primary point of contact and representative for the Military Treatment Facility civilian awards program. Provide administrative management of the Defense Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP). Conduct individual and group in processing for new Military Treatment Facility civilian employees.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing technicalsupport, general clerical and office automation functions in support of Human Resources (HR) Specialist by providing information on the Defense management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP) and civilian awards program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer LiteracyManages and Organizes InformationOral CommunicationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
