You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN ((UEM) in the PUBLIC WORKS UTILITIES ENERGY MANAGEMENT of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.
Duties
You will be responsible for responsible for the repair and calibration of all automatic, mechanical, electronic, electrical and pneumatic combustion, feedwater and related control systems.
You will coordinate, schedule and direct in-house maintenance and repair of all power plant control systems, instrumentation performance monitoring systems, inspections.
You will design and test calibration and instrumentation devices, circuits, subsystems and complete systems that have been planned by the Branch.
You will direct and/or conduct scientific studies and investigations on various phases of instrumentations for metrology in order to determine practical ways and means of solving the complex problems that are periodically encountered.

- You will be required to a MD Stationary Engineers license Class 1 within 2 years of assuming the position and you must keep license current to hold the position. a NIULP Class 1 will also be accepted.
Qualifications
Outside applicants (i.e., no current or prior federal competitive or excepted service) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-10) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following:1) Repairing and calibrating automatic, mechanical, electronic, electrical and pneumatic combustion, feedwater and related control systems; 2) Coordinating, scheduling and directing in-house maintenance and repair of power plant control systems, instrumentation performance monitoring systems, and inspections; 3) Designing and testing calibration and instrumentation devices, circuits, subsystems and planned complete systems; 4) Preparing technical specifications for the procurement of commercial equipment and materials.
Current or prior federal employees: your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Repairing and calibrating automatic, mechanical, electronic, electrical and pneumatic combustion, feedwater and related control systems; 2) Coordinating, scheduling and directing in-house maintenance and repair of power plant control systems, instrumentation performance monitoring systems, and inspections; 3) Designing and testing calibration and instrumentation devices, circuits, subsystems and planned complete systems; 4) Preparing technical specifications for the procurement of commercial equipment and materials.
