Duties
Develops, coordinates, implements, manages, and evaluates the Patient Safety Program for the organization.
Serve as the liaison between DHA by providing education training, facilitation, and support of programs in clinical practice to promote a safety culture and risk mitigation.
Maintain constant communication with senior leadership regarding Risk Management, and Quality Management (QM) program for the department.
Utilize automated systems to complete human resource tasks, supervisory tasks, and healthcare administration tasks.
Review medical record request from attorneys and determine the reason for the request is potential litigation.
Independently review all actions of medical department in accordance with regulations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working in a medical treatment facility analyzing and advising on patient safety program and policies; providing analysis for the quality improvement programs; identifying administrative program issues and recommending solutions; monitoring/coordinating for an organization/department within a medical treatment facility; providing input/recommendations assisting with the education, training, facilitation, and support of programs in clinical practice to promote a safety culture and risk mitigation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
