About the position: This position will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, located at NAF Accounting, Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas.
This position is considered Regular Full Time (RFT). Guaranteed 35 hours a week with potential to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. RFT employees are eligible to earn annual and sick leave as well as benefits including Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and Retirement.
Duties
Provide overall logistic support to FSS including all fixed assets (MFAL) and resale inventories for Force Support Squadron (FSS). Responsible for updating all resale inventory purchase invoices and the posting of end of month inventories for all activities. Prepares monthly subsidiary reports for inventory and capital expenditure accounts. Manages processes for the control and disposition of accountable/non accountable assets, fixtures and equipment, transfers between activities and other bases, resolution of property account inventory discrepancies, expendable supply item issues, and other logistics account matters. Establishes proper FF&E account custodian processes and procedures that ensure adequate control measures and timely, effective, and proper disposal and follow-up actions IAW Air Force Instructions. Provide management for the vehicle fleet, consisting of vehicles obtained from appropriated funds (APF's), non appropriated funds (NAF's). As the Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) ensures vehicles and trailers meet minimum annual mileage requirements. Prepares consolidated vehicle reports for submission through Vehicle Management System to the Air Force Services Activity. Ensures vehicle safety training is conducted for I00 % of all FSS vehicle users. Conducts logistics account management training and on the job training for new personnel in all phases of assigned work. Performs various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, Such as letters, reports, database, and graphs. Drives privately owned vehicle or government owned vehicle to complete daily work related tasks.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Qualifying Experience:
Detailed oriented and ability to interpret governing procedures and instructions. Knowledge of FSS functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Knowledge of data entry and processing of resale purchases into automated inventory systems. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve problems. Ability to communicate in English effectively both orally and in writing. Wide range knowledge of vehicle operations and governing regulations, procedures, and instructions.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
