Duties
This position is located in the Operational Services Bureau, Special Operations Division (SOD), United States Capitol Police (USCP). Serves as an Operations Support Assistant at the Division level within a Bureau or an Office. Performs a broad range of technical and administrative office support work and services to support sworn and civilian staff. Provides human resources support services, automation/computer support, records maintenance, report/information consolidation and similar functions. Performs a range of support operational activities including monitoring and analyzing workflow issues and projects in consultation with supervisors and/or senior officials. Performs other official duties as assigned. Due to the nature of a police force and emergency operations, civilians may be called upon to perform emergency operations duties outside the realm of their expertise. Other duties as assigned may vary significantly from the primary duties of the position, and the incumbent as a Federal law enforcement agency employee must be fully aware of this possibility.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For the CP-04 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-03/GS-05 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Specialized experience for this grade level is defined as receiving and processing documents and data/statistical information in accordance with established procedures; reviewing documents and reports for completeness and entering information into an automated tracking system; researching information from various sources and communicating results to Specialists; or similar administrative experience.All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.(Information on Qualification & Education are located at the following link: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications)
