This National Guard position is for a Fabrication Supervisor, Position Description Number NGD0789000 and is part of 114 MAI SQ. This is a Title 32, Dual-Status position.

Duties
As a Fabrication Supervisor, WS-3401-10, you will:
The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. Supervises a variety of occupations including Machinist, WG-3414-111 Sheet Metal Mechanic, WG-3806-101 Fabric Worker, WG-3105-091 and Nondestructive Tester, WG-3705-10. The grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is WG-10.

Qualifications
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:Open to MSgt on up to SMSgt. Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: AFSC 2A6XX or 2A7XX. The AFSC(s) require an aptitude of 47 and a physical profile of H333132. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience in the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) list. In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.

WS-10:
-Skill to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel.
-Skill in ensuring subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow safety precautions while performing on and off-equipment maintenance.
-Knowledge of various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.
-Skill in noting and investigating work related problems and independently implementing corrective actions to be taken.
