Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Schriever Space Force Base is searching for a Test Scheduler for the 17th Test and Evaluation Squadron (NH-0343-03, GS 12 / 13 equivalent).
Description:
To serve as a test scheduler in planning, organizing, and determining necessary tests procedures based on policies and regulations for assigned Space Force Field Command (FC) space/cyberspace integrated tests (operational and developmental testing). Provide scheduling support for test programs related to Missile Warning, Space Domain Awareness, Missile Defense, and various sensor space weapon systems. Develops major weapon system test planning requirements IAW OSD, Space Force, FCs (e.g., STARCOM), Delta 12, and 17 TES. Applies qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques that frequently require modification to fit a wide range of variables. Resolves day-to-day scheduling issues as they pertain to the execution of assigned test programs. Functions as the primary person responsible to create, develop and implement updates, identify, and report on schedule disconnects, and maintain an integrated master test schedule for all 17 TES test programs on at least a weekly basis. Learns and applies scheduling tool (e.g., Project) knowledge to develop test and strategic calendar schedules.
Ideal Candidate:
Main candidate's attribute is expertise in scheduling and in the use of scheduling tools. USSF and DOT&E knowledge of operational sustainment & modernization, DOT&E oversight testing, developmental testing, and integrated testing. The ideal candidate has accomplished T&E APDP Level II (or previous III) or related private industry test training.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of space force and unit test plans and programs for conducting major operations such as Missile Warning, Space Domain Awareness, Missile Defense, and various space sensor programs.
2. Knowledge of military (including command/center level) test program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key operational test events and milestones; methods of evaluating the effectiveness of test planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program test planning and execution of DOT&E, Space Force, space filed commands, STARCOM, Delta 12, and 17 TES DT&E, OT&E, and integrate test operations.
3. Knowledge of the application of military space test operations expertise as they apply to programs and weapon systems.
4. Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions to especially broad, important, and rapid military operational test events end associated efforts.
5. Ability to plan and organize studies or projects and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts, policies, and procedures.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
