About the Position: Is with US ARMY CADET COMMAND 7 Brigade. John Carroll University Duty Station. This position is a TEMPORARY Not to Exceed 1 October 2024 position and may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years.

Duties

Responsible for the development and execution of recruiting plans. Provide sound advice on subject such as recruiting, retention, and incentives management. Responsible for gathering, identifying, and analyzing recruiting program issues ensuring that programs function effectively and effectively make recommendations to correct deficient program issues. Participate in recruiting activities in pre-selected areas to increase public awareness of the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to perform additional duties as the Unit Prevention Leader (UPL), which requires travel to conduct testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • May be required to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Successful completion of physical is required.

Qualifications

This position is a TEMPORARY Not to Exceed 1 year position and may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years. This position is obligated and CANNOT be converted to permanent career or career-conditional appointment. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Work that involves determining enrollment eligibility for prospective applicants into a program 2.) Utilizing pertinent laws and regulations to manage and award scholarship incentives 3.) Executing marketing strategies specified by organization leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business, Human Resources, Communications, etc OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
