This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Bolling AFB, Washington D.C. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties
Responsible for all technical aspects of production while in operation, and ensures that picture and sound quality meet technical standards of the television industry.
As the training officer, supervises and instructs technicians in TV theory, fiber optic theory and equipment operations.
Oversees the documentation of the President, Vice President, First Lady and Senior White House staff activities by monitoring the off-air digital and analog television.
Provides audio distribution of Presidential remarks and official briefings to select White House complex office and selected government agencies in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
Directs Presidential event audio and video recordings, event setups at various worldwide locations and locations throughout the White House Complex.
Documents constitutional, statutory, official and ceremonial duties including White House events, "In-towners", and trips within CONUS and OCONUS.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Recall/On Call 24/7 Position
- This is a Top Secret/SCI position with Yankee White.
- This is a drug testing position, subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
- This position may require occasional TDY travel.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.

Experience
Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in developing new techniques and approaches in translating subject matter ideas and information into unique audiovisual products.

Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum).

Education
There is no substitution of education for the Qualifying Experience at the GG-13 grade level.
