You will serve as a Packer in the PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DEPT (63) of the NAVAL SEA LOGISTICS CENTER of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA located in Keyport, WA.

Duties

You will perform standard and specialized packing and preservation work for material, including classified, hazardous material, and inert ordnance items. You will pack material that requires special techniques, including bracketing, suspending, and bracing, within containers. You will construct wood or fiberboard boxes, dividers, or protective framing for individual shipments or specialized storage. You will receive and inspect all material to ensure that documentation includes correct identification, condition code and quantity, that items are packed and preserved properly to prevent damage, and to determine if items require over-packing.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift certification.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
