About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Supply Management Officer and as the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center (USACRC) System
Administrator for the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) Property Book, located at Fort Novosel, AL.
Duties
Serves as a Supply Management Officer and as the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center (USACRC)System Administrator for the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) Property Book.
Utilizes GCSS-A to accurately account for all non-expendable property.
Serves as point of contact and advisor for auditors, inspectors, and investigators.
Provides information for investigations.
Accountable for accuracy of information provided as to the circumstances involved in individual property transactions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.
- The employee may perform Temporary duty Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
GS-09:
providing accountability for supply and property management; maintaining supply records in an automated system; advising leadership on supply programs, contract interaction, and logistical guidance within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
GS-11:
providing accountability for supply and property management; maintaining property book and supply records in an automated system; advising leadership on supply programs, contract management, and logistical guidance within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
GS-12:
providing accountability for supply and property management; maintaining property book and supply records in an automated system; conducting briefings and/or trainings in the areas of property acquisition, property accountability, property book management, personal property disposal, equipment management, and authorization management; and performing various duties as the purchasing officer, such as: purchasing training supplies and equipment, approving purchases, and/or maintaining documentation of credit card purchases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some positions allowed education to be substituted for experience. For these positions, education may be substituted for specialized experience.
GS-9: Completions of a Master's or equivalent degree, or 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
GS-11: Completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
Combining education and experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify. To compute the percentages, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours by 18. Add the percentages. The total percentage must meet or exceed 100 percent to qualify.
