About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Instruct students all phases of a specific course requiring a combination of practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of instruction
Determine supplemental material, illustrations, adaption of course, material/teaching methods and techniques to use to meet class needs.
Develop and write lesson plans, evaluations, brief presentations, and instruct training.
Conduct research for new methods, techniques and material by reviewing trade manuals, technical manuals and other publications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Satisfactorily complete employment verification checks.

- All required background checks of AR 215-3, Chapter 2, paragraph 2-13; i. must be successfully completed and maintained including Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI), and the Crime Control Act.
- Successful completion of CYS Services Employee Background Check Re-Verification every 5 Years.
- Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- A medical examination is required.
- Immunization Screening is required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility as determined by medical authority.

- You will be required to complete and sign a copy DA Form 3433 Optional Application For Non appropriated Fund Employment, and OF 306 Declaration of Federal Employment as part of pre appointment, prior to entrance on duty.
- Travel to on and off post locations required.
- Job requires working both in and out of doors.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience within the Federal Government which includes demonstrating practical knowledge of a machinist and of the methods and techniques of instructions, which include instructing high school students in the specific program and assist in the instructing of machining and diesel programs. Development and/or review of supplemental material, illustrations, material and teaching techniques/methods. Constructs questions for examinations following as established evaluation plan to be used in used in classes based on the student. Gives and grades required and supplemental examinations or tests to determine students progress throughout program.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
