You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Technical Support and Test Division (Code 740) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will be responsible for development, review,, and life cycle maintenance of refit test plan procedures. You will direct development of the refit test plan consisting of a top-down hierarchy of tests structured to achieve a comprehensive overview of complex weapons systems operability and readiness. You will be responsible for immediate revision of the refit test plan. You will conduct and direct technical investigations to solve difficult and controversial Command Control Systems (CCS), Non Propulsion Electronics Systems(NPES) and non-CCS hardware, software, and system interface problems. You will assign and review subordinate work based on individual expertise and skill of employees. You will serve as the Command expert for CCS, Non,-CCS, and NPES electronics testing. You will serve as the Command expert for matters related to magnetic silencing.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

For GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with submarine electronic systems repairs. Experience with testing and evaluation Command Control Systems aboard submarines. Experience with underwater cables and sensors. Experience with digital computer systems and their interfacing subsystems including hardware and software used on submarines. Experience performing supervision functions.
