This position is located with Supply Services on Fort Greely, Alaska. Up to 25% recruitment or relocation and/or a retention incentive may be authorized. Eligible for 3.21% COLA. Duties

Assist in the management and accountability of assigned property and performs a wide variety of supply clerical functions to include the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and transfer of property items. Complies with procedures for maintaining property transaction records, and participates in the conduct of inventories for property accountability. Moves and / or carries furniture and equipment on a regular basis using lifting / moving devices. Utilizes automated data processing systems to fully automate processes involved with supply and acquisition.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist in the movement of furniture and equipment through the use of dollies or hand trucks.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must possess and have the ability to maintain a current valid drivers license.

Qualifications

Knowledge of appropriate reference guides, supply manuals, and other publications in order to identify and classify items to the appropriate Federal Supply Class or subclass. Knowledge of automated systems to apply instructions for supply actions such as data entry, reports retrieval, search of specific records and error corrections. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and ability must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have the ability to research and analyze material and the ability to communicate orally.
