This position is located with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics, Base Cleveland in Detroit, MI.
Duties
You will ensure proper material management is executed to achieve and maintain an optimized supply chain and Chief Financial Officer compliance.

- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
- Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- A final offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test result.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Some examples of specialized experience are:
-Assisting with receiving material shipments into inventory.
-Assisting with conducting physical inventories of materials.
-Entering parts and service requests into logistics systems.
-Providing supply information.
OR
master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of successfully completed graduate education beyond the first full year of graduate level education and experience.
Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
