This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC), CEU Providence, Regional Execution Branch, Warwick, RI.
Duties
This position serves as an Engineering Technician within a multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering team. Projects include new construction of CG facilities or repair, maintenance, modification or renovation of existing facilities. CG facilities include modern and historic buildings, waterfronts, airfields, hangars, aids-to-navigation facilities, communication facilities, single and multi-family housing, industrial buildings, multi-mission buildings, support structures and all associated utilities.

Qualifications
Qualifications for GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-08 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples include: investigating existing conditions and providing an estimate to engineering requirements for each assignment; working independently and making most assignments related judgements and recommendations without assistance of the supervisor.
