This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Investment and Innovation in Washington, DC. Administer the liquidation of Small Business Investment Companies, including Debenture or Participating Security Small Business Investment Companies and Specialized Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) which are declared to be "in liquidation" status.
Duties
The independent analysis of financial statements, books and records, examination, and investigation reports covering the operations, investments and practices of SBICs assigned to him/her.
Review complex financial statements of both the SBIC and its portfolio of assets to determine financial condition.
Problem solving decisions and recommendations for final action to be taken by the Agency.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen.
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
For the GS-13: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes evaluating and recommending investment and credit decisions for non-real estate based investments in and/or loans to businesses with more than $5 million in annual revenue.
