You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (OA) in the Naval Base Coronado Public Works Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will develop spreadsheets and manipulates for charts and graphs, power point presentations, and access databases. You will perform records management; directives management; reports compilation; forms management; data gathering; supply procurement; mail and distribution control; and secretarial functions. You will assist in establishing and maintaining office management. You will implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain smooth operations within the office and makes recommendations to the supervisor concerning development and revision of procedures. You will coordinate with personnel in the preparation of periodic and special reports. You will maintain office calendar, scheduling meetings and de-conflicting as required.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using computer systems and available software application programs to provide clerical and administrative support; 2) Applying skill in planning, organizing, and coordinating office schedules; 3) Assisting with the requisition/purchase of office supplies; and 4) Providing support to personnel with various administrative tasks including preparation of correspondence, review of invoicing and payments, resolving travel-related issues, including travel orders, travel claims, and various administrative functions of the current travel system, (i.e. Defense Travel System (DTS).NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume.
