This position is located in the Office of D.C. Pensions, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Resources and Chief Human Capital Officer, Department of the Treasury. As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on program development and monitoring as well as supporting projects, operations, and management activities.
Duties
As a Senior Program Manager, you will:
Serve as a senior staff member responsible for accomplishing multiple studies, projects, and key program initiatives related to ODCP.
Manage and perform activities related to the management of ODCP, to include acquisition planning and quality measures.
Identify and perform program assessments and management reviews with the Director, ODCP and senior staff members.
Promote harmonious resolutions of issues and concerns within Treasury and between Treasury, the District Government, and DCRB related to the D.C. Pensions Program.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as proven proficiency and supportable (as evidenced in the resume) hands-on experience in ALL of the following:
Interpreting and drafting legislative, financial, and programmatic guidance; AND
Collecting, analyzing, and integrating detailed and/or ambiguous information and communicating it to the appropriate office staff or executives to support the successful execution of office operations; AND
Independently identifying and performing program assessment and management reviews; AND
Coordinating with internal and external business partners to develop and execute program strategies.
TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
