The U.S. Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center is the Army's Center of Lethality, and provides more than 90 percent of Army's lethality to soldiers. DEVCOM Armaments Center mission includes: improving already fielded items, developing new items, maintaining a strong armament technology base in government, industry and academia and providing technical support to Soldiers. This position is located in ESIC, LRED.

Duties

Manage the Integrated Product support (IPS) program for assigned, non-major ammunition/weapon systems. Responsible for developing, staffing, maintaining Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), materiel fielding, and other product support documentation. Manages Product Support/Logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)/Material Fielding Team functional experts.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position.

This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-01/GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. (NOTE: Must provide copy of transcript. Failure to provide copy of transcript will result in an ineligible rating). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. Logistics Management Specialist DE-03: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Experience providing logistics management product support for military systems in all phases of the life cycle; 2) Experience maintaining product support documentation; 3) Experience managing Product Support/Logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (DE-02/GS-11).
