Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Office of Offshore Regulatory Programs (OORP), Risk Assessment and Analysis Branch (RAAB) in various BSEE office duty locations.
Note: This is NOT a remote position. You will be required to report to the duty location to which you are applying. Applicants applying are limited to selecting 1 duty location.
At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Provides the information they develop from the data to show trends and patterns to both internal and external customers through intranet/internet publication, formal/informal presentations, internal operations meetings, and participation in subcommittees, workgroups and conferences as part of regular RAPPS responsibilities.
2. Developing policy analysis based upon the data analysis of one's own work products related to lines of inquiry.
3. As an integral team member for soft product development such as persuasive and factual materials (white papers or position papers)
4. Development and presenting trend information in a digestible manner for ease of decision making and action planning.
5. Derive relationship information, correlations, recognize causal relationships and distinguish between non-causal and causal indicators.
BSEE has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.

Anchorage, AK: ($98,232 - $127,698) per annum.
Camarillo, CA: ($101,121 - $131,452) per annum.
Houston, TX: ($100,287 - $130,369) per annum.
Jefferson, LA: ($86,962 - $113,047) per annum.
Sterling, VA: ($99,200 - $128,956) per annum.
GS-13
Anchorage, AK: ($116,811 - $151,858) per annum.
Camarillo, CA: ($120,246 - $156,323) per annum.
Houston, TX: ($119,254 - $155,034) per annum.
Jefferson, LA: ($103,409 - $134,435) per annum.
Sterling, VA: ($117, 962 - $153,354) per annum.
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized Experience for the series/grade to which you are applying.
GS-12
Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1) Analyzing facts and figures in order to draw conclusions from those facts and figures based upon logical qualitative and quantitative determinations. 2) Interpreting meaning, implications, or potential impacts from facts, figures, findings, and/or conclusions. 3) Communicating and persuading in writing on complex technical subjects; AND 4) Preparing and making oral presentations with graphic supports to those above one's grade level. Must Meet All.
