You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST for the Southeast Asia Field Office of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. Duties

You will serve as the analytical representative at interagency meetings and conferences. You will operate independently in a high-value position while collaborating closely with analyst and special agent colleagues. You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate complex data from multiple classified and unclassified sources. You will identify intelligence gaps, specific collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytical tools and methodologies to identify gaps. You will perform internal and external collaboration with an enterprise-wide focus. You will answer requests for information and produce output in the form of intelligence assessments and analytic products for internal and external customers. You will provide recommendations to high-level decision-makers regarding methods to mitigate risks to DOD. You will provide support to DoD CI Enterprise operators to enhance awareness of current and evolving intelligence threats. You will perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of information. You will ensure that intelligence data is properly classified, stored and handled in accordance with applicable laws, policies and regulations. You will proofread and review finished intelligence products for accurate use of grammar and content and correct any grammatical, spelling, typographical, or compositional errors.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS (25%) and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position may require occasional overtime and irregular tours of duty, and/or extended duty.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

GG-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing analytical tasks relative to cyber, counterintelligence, counter-terrorism, and/or criminal intelligence matters relating to political, economic, social, cultural, geographic, or technical issues; Researching, selecting, and compiling intelligence information in preparation of formal, written products; and Identifying complex intelligence gaps and evaluating the intelligence collected. GG-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing research analysis on cyber, counterintelligence, counter-terrorism, and/or criminal intelligence matters relating to political, economic, social, cultural, geographic, or technical issues; Ensuring that intelligence data is properly classified, stored, and handled in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations; Researching, selecting, and compiling intelligence information; and Navigating specified intelligence databases and message handling systems.
