You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will have knowledge of a wide range of traffic management and transportation policies, principles, and methodology. And must have in-depth knowledge of household goods/personal property entitlements, regulations and instructions.
You will have knowledge of DOD household goods computer operations and have the ability to solve various transportation problems.
You will Knowledge of transportation modes, Total Quality Assurance Program (TQAP), Best Value traffic distribution methodologies, shipment/warehouse inspections, Tenders of Service, and loss and damage procedures.
You will prepare reports on workload production metrics, services and equipment, and assist in Quality Control efforts for the work performed by the Personal Property Office.
You will provide technical advice and support to team members, and recommend action on more complex issues to upper management.
You will explain personal property entitlements and processes to customers.
You will ensure compliance with entitlements established in the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR), Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR), and additional guidance provided by NAVSUP.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Traffic Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a general knowledge of a wide range of traffic management and transportation policies, principles and methodology in response to problems relating to customer trouble calls, on-site and telephone inspections , quality assurance actions, and Transportation Service Provider (TSP) requirements relating to household goods . Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Explaining personal property entitlements and processes to customers; 2) Ensuring compliance with entitlements established in the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR), Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR), and additional guidance provided by NAVSUP; 3) Possessing working knowledge of the Defense Travel System; and 4) Applying knowledge to assist in development of operational procedures and guidelines.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
or
Completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
or
LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
