As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is located in the Office of Airports, Associate Administrator for Airports (ARP-001), Management Staff (ARP-010).
Duties
Serves as an Assistant Manager of the Office of Airports (ARP) Management Staff, ARP-010. Directly manages staff in carrying out a wide range of operational and administrative programs pertaining to the development, evaluation, and implementation of organization-wide national initiatives, standards, and projects in support of the Associate Administrator for Airports in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and exercises supervisory responsibilities for all staff assigned.

- This is not a bargaining unit position.
- This Level 2 (Non-Critical Sensitive; Secret) position requires favorable adjudication of an Access National Agency Check and Inquiries (ANACI) background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
