About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation.
Duties
Provide general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the employee to control work operations and accomplish an
adequate quantity and quality of work.
Assign work to employees and provides technical direction and/or assistance in accomplishing the work. Observes work in progress, investigates work related
problems, such as excessive costs or low productivity, and determines causes.
Plan and establish overall leave schedules; determines training needs of subordinates and arranges for its accomplishment; counsels employees on
performance.
Maintain production reports and records.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Tier 1 background investigation.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electroplater Supervisor without more than normal supervision. The ability to lead or supervise journey level employees who perform common electroplating tasks. Use established processes to plate, coat, and treat metal items; Adjust solution levels, check solution temperatures, and make routine setting and adjustments to electrolytic and chemical equipment; Prepare parts by standard cleaning methods; Set up and provide proper treatments and processes for the metal parts to be plated. Calculate surface dimensions and apply the results in making routine amperage and voltage adjustments or setting to the electrolytic equipment. Use micrometer, calipers and gages to determine the amount of plating deposited. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspections. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Efforts:
Continuous use of both hands, frequent standings, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting. Frequently handles objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment.
Working Conditions:
Works inside shop areas having adequate light, ventilation, and safety controls. Exposed to acid solutions, solvents, hot waxes, noxious fumes, and a variety of caustic chemicals. Protection from exposure to burns, scalds, and skin irritations often requires the worker to wear uncomfortable safety equipment such as safety glasses, rubber gloves, rubber aprons, goggles, face shields, or respirators.
