This announcement is in conjunction with the JBLM NAF HR Office Job Fair at the Eagles Pride Golf Course in Tacoma, WA on Tuesday, 2 April 2024 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Applicants participating in the event will receive first consideration.
$1,000 cash award available; Flexible positions are eligible to receive a $1,000 cash award after 6 of employment when they have worked an average of 20 hours per week.
Duties
Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
Serves food by order and proper proportion. Break down and cleans tables and area when meal is finished and returns dishes and food to the kitchen area.
Operates, break downs, and cleans all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation. Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Cleans exhaust vents, hoods, windows, ceilings, and walls. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash. May unload and store food from delivery truck.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
- Satisfactory completion of a pre-hire physical is required.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation or a Common Access Card or physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Must be willing and able to work a schedule that includes working some nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
Qualifications
1. Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
2. Must be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
