In this Supervisory Financial Management Specialist position you will oversee the work of subordinates responsible for funds management, internal financial controls, budget formulation and execution, and compliance with financial standards, laws, and regulations. To qualify for this Supervisory Financial Management Specialist position at the IC-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Utilizing advanced knowledge of financial policies, guidelines, regulations, and organizational structures to develop financial/budgeting procedures and administrative systems.
Analyzing financial activities for the development and implementation of new and revised policies and automated systems.
Combining non-fiscal program data and financial data to provide comprehensive cause-and-effect analysis of program activities for stakeholders.
Currently hold, or have previously held, a FEMA Qualification System (FQS) Finance Administration Section Chief Type Ill Qualified Status, or currently has an open Finance Administration Section Chief Type Ill Positions Task Book (PTB).
