This position is located at the Fort Belknap Service Unit, Harlem, MT, in the Transportation
Office, under the Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) Department. The purpose of this position is to function as the Transportation Supervisor for The Fort Belknap Service Unit.
Duties
Directly supervises (5) WG-5 Motor Vehicle Operators and one Medical Support Assistant. The incumbent plans work to be accomplished by subordinates. Prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities of employees; evaluates work performance of subordinates; advise or counsel employees on work and administrative matters; interview candidates for positions, recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions, takes shifts as scheduled and necessary, hear and resolve complaints from employees, effects minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands; identify training needs of employees; approves leave, etc.
Transportation by GSA vehicle of Indian patients from the Fort Belknap Reservation, to and from hospitals (Billings MT, Salt Lake City UT, Denver CO), medical appointments, dental appointments, or appointments approved by the PRC program. Assist patient's (handicapped) in and out of vehicle at appointments or lodging areas. Drives on dirt, muddy or snow covered roads. May have to shovel snow or dig vehicles out of mud. Proper body mechanics will be utilized when assisting patients. The position could require exposure to bad weather and extremes of heat and cold.
Accreditation and compliance duties for department as required by Accrediting Agency- The Joint Commission. This will entail implementation of QAPI monitors, reporting tools for Quality Assurance.

Time In Grade
