THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a COMPUTER ASSISTANT, Position Description Number T5174000 and is part of the CO USPFO Warehouse, National Guard.
The incumbent serves as the automated logistics information systems manager with technical responsibility for automated systems and operational management.
Duties
Analyzes and determines the needs and methods of data support for the division, based on a general knowledge of logistics policies and procedures governing logistics activities. Trains division employees in the operation and maintenance of system equipment. Identifies the cause of operations failure and means of recovery. Serves as Information System Security Officer for Supply and Services Division. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

- The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.

Must have experience or knowledge in each of the following:
1. Office automated systems, peripheral equipment, and associated communications parameters to advise users, to explain and resolve problems, to diagnose failures and isolate problems, and to develop local adaptations for situations not covered by existing procedures.
2. Computer equipment utilized within the division, of software/ hardware tests and diagnostic routines to analyze system operational problems and to determine causes and corrective action.
Preferred experience but not mandatory:
- Experience with or previously held GCSS-Army operator roles.
- Previously worked in a warehouse environment.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
