DCSA's Field Operations Directorate, Central Region is looking for a Supervisory Investigator to serve as one of four Regional Mission Directors. The selected candidate will manage and direct field operations within a multi-state region, with responsibility for multiple field offices tasked with conducting national security and suitability background investigations for DCSA. Duties

As a SUPERVISORY INVESTIGATOR (REGIONAL MISSION DIRECTOR) the incumbent will manage and direct field operations within a multi-state region, with responsibility for multiple field offices tasked with conducting national security and suitability background investigations for DCSA. The incumbent will be responsible for the efficient and cost effective workload management of the investigations program, ensuring DCSA is producing the highest quality investigations in order for customers to make the most informed adjudicative decisions; and for assisting in implementing transformational investigative policy, such as Trusted Workforce 2.0 and other national level initiatives. Qualifications

See: General Investigation Series 1810 (opm.gov) for OPM qualification standards, competencies and specialized experience needed to perform the duties of the position as described in the MAJOR DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS sections of this announcement by 04/01/2024 Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-14 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this GS/GG-15 position includes: Knowledge of DCSA background investigations mission and associated National Security Policies, Executive Orders, DoD Directives, Federal Laws and analysis methods. Experience managing background investigations operations; directing the operations of field offices; supervising and maintaining good work relationships with subordinates and others outside the immediate work unit. Experience building teams and motivating personnel towards common goals. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1.
