You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND, PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION, of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will Use Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Visio) to develop reports and present to management.
You will maintain current material status records to prevent shortages, work delays, and work stoppages.
You will monitor production work in progress to ensure timelines are met.
You will prepare progress reports to determine and expedite production schedules.
Requirements

Qualifications
Outside applicants claiming VEOA, Interchange or PPP Military Spouse Preference (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Reviewing requests for construction, maintenance, repair, renovation, and replacement of facilities property; 2) Tracking and monitoring work performed by contractors and employees to verify the work is completed on time and with accuracy; 3) Scheduling projects (e.g., construction, maintenance, repair, etc. ) for efficient and timely execution; and 4) Monitoring all job order numbers and project packages to ensure accuracy and proper funding. and 5) Preparing and reviewing reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts for the use of production planning and control.
Applicants who are current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service employees must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Utilizing business applications used in production control such as Maximo, Microsoft Office, MS Project, database applications and other data base systems for data entry and queries; 2) Conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; 3) Scheduling production work based on production line or shop capacity, priority, and due date; 4) Planning, scheduling, and making adjustments to the production cycle for construction, repair, and renovation projects; and 5) Preparing and reviewing reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts for the use of production planning and control.
